Lavender Panzies

What is Lavender Panzies?

Lavender Panzies was created in 2023 by a group of people seeking to provide a variety of community spaces centering queer femme/masc, lesbian, bisexual, intersex, non-binary, transgender, asexual and agender people.

We believe the inclusivity and accessibility of all of those represented in the FLINTA margins deserve a space to feel safe, heard, loved, and celebrated.

Our #1 priority is simple: we aggressively and unapologetically pursue queer joy.

Camp with a Q — Qamp written on a purple pendant banner

QAMP is Lavender Panzies' yearly camping retreat centered around creativity, community, camping, and queers. Created in 2023, QAMP was the result of many folks in the queer community coming together to build something positive out of our joined lived experiences failing to find community elsewhere.

Pricing

Ticket Pricing for Qamp this year will have fixed amount tiers in our sliding scale. We ask all Qampers to consider their own personal experience and circumstances when determining the amount to pay. There are limited quantities in our lower tiers. Please reach out if you need assistance with making this decision.

Please note, all Qampers can only purchase their own ticket—you can not purchase a ticket for someone else.

Tickets for Qamp are non-refundable and non-transferrable. This is because we utilize a waitlist when tickets sell out and release those tickets to folks based on priority- with waitlist tickets being released first to BIPOC folks, then return Qampers, then to all other remaining parties. Please note that we do not offer day-passes or re-entry; once you arrive at Qamp you must remain on the property for the entirety of your stay. This is to ensure the safety of our Qampers and the privacy of our campground.

FAQ

Originally a German acronym, in English it stands for frauen (women), lesbian, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people, arising from feminist movements to create a term that refutes cis hetero patriarchal hierarchies. It's not perfect, but attempts to create queer spaces for more marginalized groups.

Utilizing measures such as a waitlist with BIPOC attendee prioritization, a sliding scale for ticket pricing, and BIPOC ticket pre-release. We will be prioritizing all medic, DJ, volunteer, artist, community programing slots/funding, & Organizer/Producer roles to BIPOC attendees first. There will also be a BIPOC only sleeping area and programming. Our organizer team is also commited to learning more about intersectionality through paid learning sessions and we'll continue to learn and expand on these.

You can find that information here.

Anyone queer under the FLINTA umbrella is welcomed to Qamp! However, only those who have tickets can attend. Tickets are only available to attendees 21 and up. To get your ticket, click the ticket link here.

Our #1 priority is your safety. By sharing the exact location too far in advance, it could jeopardize that safety. We will be releasing the exact location as we get closer to the event date. When planning for this event, know it's located in White Haven, PA, about 2 hours north of Philly.

Qamp will be providing drip coffee and grab-and-go snacks throughout the weekend. We will have an optional $50 meal ticket available for purchase when you get your Qamp ticket.

We will also be sending a "What to Pack" list for ticket holders prior to Qamp with suggested items to bring.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for tickets. Because of the nature of our sliding scale ticket pricing, we set our budget for QAMP after ticket sales have closed. If you have an extreme extenuating circumstance, please reach out at campwithaq@gmail.com.

QAMP is a COVID-conscious event. While we recommend vaccination, but do not require proof of vaccination to attend Qamp, and understand that there are multiple barriers that prevent folks from getting and maintaining vaccinations.

We will be conducting COVID testing upon entry and will be requiring daily COVID testing. All tests will be provided by Qamp. You will be provided with tests upon arrival and will be required to self-report results each morning. COVID tests will be available for Qampers to pick up prior to Qamp for those who choose to test before driving to Qamp. We encourage you to bring masks for yourself if you wish to remain masked throughout the weekend.

Throughout the months leading up to QAMP, we encourage masking at our events, testing prior to arrival at said events, and will be including a mixture of mask-optional and mask-required events to help grow and strengthen our community.

Our full COVID policy will be available in the near future, however, you can contact campwithaq@gmail.com with any specific questions you may have.

Cabins, canvas wall tents, and BYO-tents, with options for accessibility needs, including access to electricity.

• Flat terrains around the property

• Minimal stairs to enter cabins (some also have ramps, please let us know what your accessibility needs are so we can coordinate)

• ADA accessible bathrooms and mess hall

• Quiet areas

• Priority parking for those who need it

• A wheelchair accessible campground

YES! The campsite has bath houses on site, as well as bathrooms in all cabins. These include electricity, showers, toilets, and sinks with hot/cold water. We recommend bringing your own sanitary supplies and toiletries since the amount provided may run out. See our "What to Pack" list for details on permitted/not permitted items.

YES! The campsite features a bathhouse with bathrooms, sinks, and showers. They feature hot and cold water and privacy for all. These amenities will be accessible throughout the entirety of qamp for folks to use at their convenience.

You don't need any camping experience to attend. From cabins, to bathrooms, and provided breakfast and optional dinner ticket add on, we try to alleviate the things that make camping intimidating. You'll also receive a "What to Bring" list to help you feel prepared. There's also plenty of folks with camping experience here to help!

Yes! Lavender Panzies has a discord, and there are specific channels for Qampers to chat with one and other, and to stay in touch after the event.

You can access the Lavender Panzies Discord here.

Due to alcohol being present on the property during the weekend, all attendees must be 21 years of age or older. Each qamper is responsible for drinking responsibly and properly disposing of all empty cans. Our campsite recycles and doesn't allow glass. If bringing alcohol, please keep this in mind.

Listen, things happen! If this happens to you, please send us an email at CampWithAQ@gmail.com and one of our Qamp Organizers will get back to you with details on next steps

Every Qamper will contribute to our vibrant community by volunteering 2 hours of their time over the weekend. Volunteer roles include tasks like Qamp set up, breakdown, registration, event support, meal assistance, and community building. If you choose to host a community program, that will count as your volunteer shift (please indicate you are interested in hosting a program when you purchase your Qamp ticket).

We’ll make sure no one is assigned a task that exceeds their comfort or ability. If you're arriving on Thursday, we kindly ask you to consider taking a shift that day to help us get ready for everyone’s arrival.

Shift sign-ups will happen a few weeks before Qamp, so stay tuned for more details.

We’re really excited about this shared effort – it’s not just about making the weekend run smoothly, but also about deepening our connections in building community together and strengthening the bonds that make Qamp so special.

Thank you for your support! We accept donations through our Venmo (@CampWithAQ) or Cashapp ($CampWithAQ).
